A little wolf told Stiles that Derek’s incredibly afraid of sharks. So of course on their next beach date day, Stiles buys the largest shark floatie he can find.

Derek stood absolutely still, feet frozen in the sand, expression dangerously close to giving away his emotions.

“Thought you were going surfing,” Stiles asked innocently but his malicious grin was shining brightly in his eyes. 

Derek had three options for how he could respond to this situation. He could play into Stiles’ hand and demand how he found out about his deep-rooted fear of sharks from the many shark films Laura had forced him to watch when they were kids and then proceeded to terrorize him in the night by putting on a shark fin and crawling around his bed humming the Jaws theme. Or he could silently walk back to Stiles’ jeep and take the keys from where Stiles had hide them, leaving Stiles alone on the beach with no way to get home or call for a ride because they’d left their cellphones in Stiles’ jeep as well.
