“I swear to god Stiles if there are more cats in your arms that you’re intending to take in ‘temporarily’ because you’re volunteering at that animal shelter and they need a foster home until they get adopted just like the three other cats we already have I am going to change all the locks and let you sleep outside on the porch for the next week with not a single kitten to keep you company.”
Stiles’ wide smile slowly transformed into an awkward pout in his kneeling position next to his boyfriend, who was laying on their living room floor with their orange foster cat, Erica curled up to his side and their youngest kitten, Isaac was climbing on Derek’s head.
Pursing his lips together, his eyes darted around the room for the right words to explanation - also in search of their third cat Boyd, who had bluish grey fur - for the twin gray cats he was juggling in his arms.
“Well-” Stiles meant to sit down and jumped up when his bum pressed onto something squishy and fluffy that mewled at him. “Sorry Boyd!” He apologized and sat further to the left of the slumbering cat. “They won’t be staying long I swear and they’re completely litter trained! You’ll barely know they’re here! Just like you barely realize Isaac climbs you like a tree anymore.”
“I hate you so much…” Derek rolled his eyes, sighing as he continued to read his book. But Stiles smiled again, settling onto the floor to let the new temporary additions to their household roam free. He knew they would grow on Derek, just like the other kittens had. Especially considering the time someone called in to adopt Isaac and Derek had told them that the kitten was no longer available… Stiles knew that these two kittens wouldn’t be with them very long, but there was no denying that Derek was just as attached (if not more) to their three kittens as Stiles was.
I found some art from middle school and i will take pictures when i burn all the sketchbooks ok.
